About the Masia

Masia Cal Fonei, or B&B La Vista Brava, is located on the Costa Brava, just between Girona and Barcelona. The Catalan Masia is located on the Mas Nou mountain with a view over the Mediterranean Sea and is surrounded by beautiful nature. The country house was originally built in 1831 and was completely renovated about 20 years ago to contemporary comfort taking in account the traditional Catalan atmosphere of the building. It features 4 en-suite bedrooms, a lounge and dining area and a sun-drenched terrace and swimming pool.
 
Masia Cal Fonei is a wonderful place to fully enjoy the delicious tapas, the refreshing drinks and the 3,000 hours of sunshine per year. But it is also the perfect base for visiting one of the many beautiful calas in the area, including Cala del Pi, Cala Sa Conca or Cala Sa Cova. All these calas can be found a few minutes from La Vista Brava. You can also take one of the many hiking trails in the area, including the Cami de Ronda. This is a beautiful walking path that runs along the coast of the Costa Brava, and runs from one beach to the other. Another activity is to visit one of the 8 golf courses in the nearby area, with Golf Mas Nou as the nearest golf course, just a 15-minute drive away. A culinary visit to one of the many wineries in the area is also possible to enjoy the many delicious Spanish wines. For the children, the Aquapark "Aquadiver" is just a few minutes' drive away, for a whole day of waterfun. And in the evening there is always the bustling center of Platja d'Aro, with its many characteristic restaurants, shops and boutiques, and an exuberant nightlife. And all this within a 9-minute drive!
 
With the airports of Girona and Barcelona a short distance away, La Vista Brava is not only easy to reach, but therefore has two beautiful cities nearby that you can visit as a city trip while you are on holiday.
